I’m very happy with how these installed in the exhibition. In particular this triptych became one work by arranging the components to fit together as-if one. Of course they were painted as-if one, side-by-side on the studio wall, but I didn’t have this installation idea in-mind until after the painting was done. It came to me while varnishing, they were laid flat together while drying and the arrangement popped into my head.

I think the title says everything you need to know about the motivation behind this outcome. Materials and processes were used to up the noise level. The signal is still in there, but it is on the point of being swamped.

Animating SVG files has become a small fascination. As has how to introduce virtual components into a gallery environment. Putting the two enquiries together I came up with the idea of using a QR code to link the gallery audience to a virtual space. Suggesting a virtual outcome made for the space but not in the space. You can scan the QR code from this screen view too.

I am continuing to use redbubble as a transient exhibition space. A space for ideas made for the very particular environment it offers. This latest install is called FOUR SEASONS and it will run for at least another month (unless redbubble change the space so much as to make it inappropriate). Anyway, enjoy it while it lasts…

I’m burning the midnight oil preparing an installation aid (as a drawing) to help me install my work for the Harmony Discord exhibition. The drawing has also sparked an idea for a future series. It is funny how things drop into place like that. It helps to keep in mind that I have no overall plan and to accept following my nose is the way I like to work (clichés not withstanding).
Here is the drawing.

I’ll find out if it was useful as an aid in a few hours.
Normally products ordered from coded-images.com are produced and shipped from the USA. However, if your order is shipping to the United Kingdom or Europe, selected products are produced and shipped from the UK. Specifically, you can order paper prints (without framing), canvas prints (ready to hang), metal prints (ready to hang) and they will be delivered from the UK, without import delay or taxes! Please carefully check your order summary at the checkout.
In a philosophical mode, I came up with this very short statement about what I do.
I make it.
I show it.
I make it available.
I move on.
The ‘make it available’ bit has been occupying too much of my time recently, but I am getting on top of that, smoothing the way for more time to explore, make and show.
The foundation abstract colour alphabet series is now fully installed at redbubble.
In this space the series explores the possibilities offered by a wide variety of 21st Century print on demand substrates. The collective work is there to enjoy in the virtual space. Individual works can then be realised in the real world at your instruction. The plan is to leave this installation in-place for at least a full year. During that time the occasional derivative outcome may be added.
